“Kalle and Ott are pushing hard. But we have a plan to follow. It’s not wise to take risks. We are not in attack mode. Now we are in P3 and that’s ΟΚ for us. I am not going to push more. The last stage was very challenging. I hope the conditions in the afternoon will be ΟΚ”.
33 ELFYN EVANS/SCOTT MARTIN
“We had a stall in the last stage, but we couldn’t do anything more. It was a high speed section and we broke late. The car is working fine. I expect that the afternoon stages will be tricky and we may do some minor changes to the car, but nothing special”.
11 THIERRY NEUVILLE/MARTIJN WYDAEGHE
“We didn’t push. The conditions were tough. We can do more at the moment. We’re trying to save as maximum soft tyres we can for the Power Stage tomorrow and we only have two R5 cars in front of us. So we are on the target”.
69 KALLE ROVANPERÄ/JONNE HALTTUNEN
“Of course it was a really good morning for us. There were four difficult stages and we managed to do well. We didn’t push to the limit all the time. The rhythm was good and I tried not to take any risks. Now we are going to be more careful. It will be difficult because the second pass will be rougher. The tyre choice worked well for us. I have a good feeling with the hard tyres. It was more difficult to judge the grip than yesterday”.
8 OTT TÄNAK/MARTIN JÄRVEOJA
“It’s being a clean route this morning. The stages are demanding, we are happy to be here. We are very far from the Toyotas and we will just keep our pace. We are just slower. Everything was working fine in the last stage. I will do my best and let’s see what happens”.
44 GUS GREENSMITH/CHRIS PATTERSON
“It’s being a good morning. We had a spun, but we lost a little bit of time. The notes were very cautious, but not very precise in some places”.
6 DANI SORDO/CANDIDO CARRERA
“It’s a difficult situation. The guys in front are faster. And behind me there are slower drivers, so we are in the middle of nowhere. Even if I change a little bit the set-up, it will be difficult to catch the guys in front. I could push a little bit more, but the difference in front is big”.
16 ADRIEN FOURMAUX/RENAUD JAMOUL
“I don’t feel really confident with the car. I am still learning and there’s still a long way to go. It’s difficult to judge what will happen and which tyre is the right one. It’s difficult to judge the grip. But we will try to push in the second one”.
7 PIERRE-LOUIS LOUBET/FLORIAN HAUT-LABOURDETTE
“It was not so difficult opening the road. We’ve done the best we can. It’s being tough, and it will be the same also in the afternoon. The grip was changing a lot”.
9 JOURDAN SERDERIDIS/FREDERIC MICLOTTE
“A lot of cleaning, but we have no problems. The morning was OK for us”.
