In accordance with the modified reconnaissance schedule, the crews did today the recce of special stages EKO-Racing Eleftherohori, SEAJETS Rengini, Elatia-Karya and EKO Racing Paleohori. As the weather was sunny both yesterday and today, the special stages are, according to the drivers, in ideal situation. Let's have a look of what some of the leading drivers quoted.
Bruno Magalhaes: "The stages are difficult and the surface is hard. We are doing recce in a car without gravel tyres. We also had a puncture and had to find a tyre repair shop, as this car doesn't have normal spare tyre. This doesn't help me, as I have to be concentrated on the road, rather than my driving. I think that the stages are rough and Elatia will be very hard at the end, after the first pass."
Kajetan Kajetanowicz: "I like Elatia very much. The first part is very nice and fast, while the second is very twisty. You don't know where you are! Many turns look the same, but I really like it a lot! It is probably one of the most difficult stages I have ever seen. In general, I think that the stages are in better condition than last year."
Murat Bostanci: "We just had a puncture, it is very difficult in normal tyres. Elatia is long and rough. I generally like the stages, as they are hard but interesting. That's the Acropolis, you expect it to be like that."
Grzegorz Grzyb: "Everything is totally new for us, because it's our first time here. It is a difficult and rough rally, but we like it. We are happy to be able to compare ourselves with many good drivers in this event."
Antonin Tlustak: "The stages are very rough, with big stones. For sure it's going to be an interesting rally in Greece."
Albert Von Thurn Und Taxis: "The stages are very difficult! Surely more rough than I expected. I'm here for the first time and didn't expect something like this. I had heard about the Acropolis and how hard it is, and now I have an idea. I look forward to seeing how the car will behave in such conditions. It's going to be a difficult rally."
George Philippedes: "Elatia is a little better than last year. Rengini is very nice and in very good condition. In general, the stages are better than last year and if it doesn't rain, it will remain in good condition, especially if we keep in mind the rain of previous days."
Erdi Junior Tibor: "The stages are in good condition. They are not easy, as they are slippery, but it's going to be a difficult rally. In comparison to last year, they are in better condition. Our target is to win our category."
Burga Banaz: "We competed here last year too and the road was cleaner. This year, it seems like a real Acropolis, with more gravel and big stones."
Alexandros Tsouloftas: "The stages are very nice and in good condition. They are not so hard as those we are used to in Cyprus! They are fine!"
Socratis Tsolakidis: "The stages are fantastic. There has been very good work in them. I think that, compared to previous years, the gravel is smoother."
Efthimios Halkias: "The stages are magnificent. They are in very good condition, the Organizing Committee has done a great job! In the parts that material was added, the surface is a little slippery, but the job that is done is very good."
Petros Panteli: "The stages are very good, but certain parts need attention, as there are some stones. We were afraid that the weather could worsen the condition of the stages, but the Organization has done a very good job."
